Course information

The ecclesiological revival of the 20th century gave rise to a whole array of new and fresh thoughts regarding the understanding of the Church and its role in society. Trying to find a balance between understanding the Church as an institution "not of this world" and a Church that is physically present and (co-)active in society, the course will aim to analyze the main challenges facing the Church today; and how the Church should react (from the theological point of view, first of all) to those changes in society, which will certainly bring about changes in the mentality and worldview of the faithful, belonging to the Church.
